A Gothic Romance

In the blackest mist of the night I roamed.
Accompanied by no one.
I was alone.

Mourning a name I knew for years.
But I found a soul who would catch my tears.

He made everything something of a dream.
He held me close so I wasn't to scream.

He looked upon me and saw only good.
To be with him forever,
I knew I would.

Long, flowing hair and a soft, kind face.
Perfect for a girl
In black, droopy lace

Skin so pale as is mine.
Dressed to fit
The medieval times.

Together we shared a vampiric life.
Seeking our victims
In the dead of night.

Time grew old,
As did we.
And our gothic romance became reality...
