The Rocking Picture

This poem is based on a true actual event that happened to me and my
fiance, two weeks after we met.My point in this poem is, in the mist of us
thanking god for having eachother, this picture started rocking non-stop,and
when we pulled it down the words on the picture was (thank you god)as we
scrolled it all the way down..

On a silent night,we sat beside eachother,
feeling a cool breeze,I think it was my brother..

We talked and talked away,
on that beautiful,warm Sunday..

As we thanked god,for having one another,
we looked upon ourselves, with a glimpse of magic wonder..

Then came a noise I couldn't recognize,
there it goes, that rocking picture swinging side by side..

Standing still--we looked, and held our breath,
for a fear,I cried happy tears, all upon his chest..

He stopped and pointed--what does that picture say?
I replied,I don't know--and turned my back away..

Walking towards the picture,he slightly pulled it down,
he said "hey come and see" as I felt spirits dancing around,

We looked at this picture,a little boy kneeling down,
praying over his bed, with slightness of a frown..

Across the bed from him,was jesus shadow on the wall,
as I felt a bit of faint, about to stumble and fall..

For these words that were on this picture,
they were thanks to god,
words we were saying previously,
oh my! this was odd..

So for this rocking picture,it means so much to me,
god is in our presence, and I thank him graciously
