As I stood in the hallway,
Feet freezing against the floor,
The image before me
Revealed two doors.

One black, one white.
A light shown down,
Binding and bright.

I didn't know what was behind these doors.
I was eager to, though.
This is like the story of my life.
Confused, lost, and unsure where to go.

I opened the white door
And looked inside.
A four walled room
With no place to hide.

On one wall a mirror hung.
As I looked in it
I saw when I was young.

I was running, playing, no care at all.
When did this change?
When did I fall?

I guess I grew up and wanted something more.
I don't really know what happened.
I'll try the next door.

This could be better or even worse.
At this point, who knows?
I take a deep breath.(sigh)
Here goes...

I walked into the room.
Behind the black door.
Again, I looked in a mirror
And could say no more.

My face was flawed.
I was a hideous beast.
What will I do to change this?
What will I do?
