Don't Worry

A séance occurs
in a darkened room
locked door
red lights
three friends.

They sit upon a bed
hands held together
closed eyes
and they begin.

Calling out,
to the spirits
to the ghosts
to the other world.

They hear a whisper
see flickering lights
feel a wandering hand
smell the stench of death.

With loud screams
those three friends are up and out
upstairs they go
running and yelling.

They've opened the door
the door to the outside world
it's time to watch out
it's time.

They're frightened
not thinking it would've succeeded
they decide no more séances
but the "others" don't agree.

They sit outside
on the swing
in the dark
with just the moon
or so they thought.

They're being followed
a white figure is floating
down the street
moving quickly.

One points
one yells
one hyperventilates
it freezes.

They tell it to go
to leave
to never appear again.

With a flash
it's gone
for now
but it will be back
don't worry.
