Today is a new day, so beautiful
So warm and golden are the rays of sun
Nothing now in the world seems pitiful
Playing in the cool breeze is so fun
Sometimes too hot, the suns wondrous glow
Tired from running around joyfully
Even with such a high energy flow
Today’s sun will never end, hopefully
Oh so sweetly the rays of heaven shine
No matter which way you turn they are there
They tickle thy skin and make me feel fine
I stroll around without a single care
I wish this day would never ever end
It has felt as good as having a friend
