I could imagine you standing there
The rain plastering your hair to you r face
Watching him walk around free to breath fresh air
As he speaks to you your eyes keep an even gaze
He says his condulances while he lacks sympathy
He was a murderer, your lover was gone
Now as he leaves police custody
Now it is your time to strike that final gong
You shouted to him just to get his attention
You shouted so he could see your new reason to live
You shouted to him after three moments of retrospection
You shouted as your thought of the life unlived

You thought to yourself of her
The way she would smile to you
The way she would dance in the rainy weather
The way she would hold you
Long after all the others left
The way she would love you
Even if she was the only one who was not deft

You thought of him
A murderer who stole your love
A rapest who tore worlds apart
A man would shouldn’t be called a man at all
He smiled at you snugly
Until he saw the gun your hands hugged
