Before a new day begins
This one has to end
Another fading sunset, turns the color of the sky
I miss the long walks to the beach
And the sand beneath my feet
I miss the wind blowin in my hair
And the smell of the salty air
But what I miss most is nowhere near
Yeah, she’s far away from here

She’s sold her soul to the devil
Looking to make a dollar or two

Now im back on the road, with empty homes
Boarded windows, and no telephones
Got everything that I own
I’m prepared for anything, except being alone
With the memories fading
And the seven seas waving
Everyone is changing, as I go from town to town

But one night in 1993
My life ended in tragedy
With no one to love me, I was gone forevermore
But I won’t give up my search for you
Oh it will carry on
Through the hurt, through the pain
Through the tears, and the rain
