The Shadow's First Kiss

Prepare for a sight, most disturbing
A plot not played on the lighted stage
Brace your soul for a deep down aching
Wait for anxious smoke to clear

Quiver, shiver, shake and freeze
Before you lay a chattered heart
Beating so slowly, cracked down the side
Glistening some how, in a darkened room

Though frightening to see, it portrays beauty
Covered in it's silvery blanket of dust
Revealing lonely anguish
Great intimidation that no one wants to touch

So kneel down now, drop to your knees
Hold it close, show some warmth
Place your lips on the jagged split
The shadows experience their first kiss
