My Poem

In English today we were assigned
To write a poem of at least 12 lines;
To choose our own topic, this is mine:
The English poem that I was assigned.

He set minimum of one metaphor,
So I will use one now, I need no more:
The reckless thief robbed the store
With the grace and finesse of a boar.

The only quota left is length,
So now I write just to waste space,
Two more lines to put in place,
There I'm done, I can go play.
