I must say you leave me guessing
And though I am happy with where I am
Your silence is as unnerving as it is comforting
For in this silence we sit in it seems what you say and what you do
Seem to only toy with my mind
As if I was a feather in the wind
And as I guess the only answers I tend to come up with
Are left unknowing and I must think it over
And each time these thoughts spin through the turning mechanics
Of the already over ran machinery bent and battered
The answers seem to change slowly
And as they change my heart seems not to understand your eyes
And though I know where I stand I feel I stand alone
Though when I come to my conscious state
You are there in my arms the only one
That I seem to be standing with my right next to me
As close as you could ever be
And as I slip between my thoughts and my senses
I am amazed at what I have, yet don’t know
