Out of this window I do stare,
While clasping tight to memories fare.
As tear drops fall upon my hand,
The rain it drips into the sand.
A life is mourned in times of grief,
As pain encircles me like a reef.
Clouded by the past,
Forgotten for the task.
Can you see? Or do you hear?
Eternity is all I fear.
Although darkness may creep in,
I bare the shame of eternal sin.
It’s the freedom that I yearn,
To be up there to have my turn.
Why must I sit and rock all day?
In a place where time is thrown away.
As mommy strives to stay sane,
My spirit lingers like a stain.
Haunting now is what I know,
But to the living it’s all a show.
