Dwindle Away

Leaves so elegantly green,
Watching birds swoon and preen,
Sighing as the day dwindles away.

Clouds dark and grumbling,
Drifting past on a tasteless wind,
Flying as the day dwindles away.

The suns light,
Cleansing and pure,
Cause for happiness that's for sure,
Shining as the day dwindles away.

Great and blue,
As is on cue,
Raise your vast water,
Make worlds ache and totter.
Churning as the day dwindles away.

Sitting in the park,
Eyes red and dark,
Wanting her time to dwindle away.

Tree with your great branches,
Give shade to horse and ranches,
Creaking as the day dwindles away.

Crouching in the dark,
Letting fear strike its mark,
Crying as my life dwindles away.
