Ashes to ashes
As time seems to fly,
And red, angry embers
Give smoke to the sky.
Sitting and waiting,
But you never come.
She gives up all hope
And goes totally numb.
Catch a moonbeam
In a crystalline jar,
Find four-leaf clovers,
And wish on a star.
Luck has abandoned her,
Filled with despair;
Tears that refuse
To melt in the air.
Ashes to ashes
As time seems to fly.
She finally lets go
And lets herself cry.
