Recital Night

Nervousness taking over my body,
Opening the show,
I'm all smiles with every step,
Thank God that my dances seem to flow.
The curtain closes,
The next girls get into their poses,
Happiness is running through me,
My soul has escaped,
On the stage I am free,
Everyone is sitting there,
they stay because they care.
Tutu's and sweaty tights,
fast changes and little girl fights.
Pure fun its recital night,
I cant believe i ever was in fright,
The smile on my face goes out to you,
Thanks for being here, my friend that is true,
The night rushes by,
I cant believe its over,
The fun makes the time just fly.
Our last number is so much fun,
It basically includes everyone,
Now that it is done,
I cant wait to do it again.
