As darkness spread across the sky
She fell down and closed her eyes
And slipped into a dreamy sleep
Of all the ones she'd never meet
And when the hands of the clock strike twelve
Inside her head all is well
The lights are dim and the music soft
And still no one's afraid to talk
Every one is happy and every thing is fine
Suddenly the bells ring nine
She wakes her self from the dream
To the sun's morning beams
Her night-time smiles she'll soon forget
And life throught one more day yet
