The Last Strand

A girl walks alone
Holding three red ballons
She comes to a stop
Which was does she cross?

She turns to ask
Everyone turns their backs
Smiles and Laughs
They all just look and pass.

One ballon flys away
Drifts higher in the sky
Tears fill her eyes
Quickly time goes by

There she stands
Holding two red ballons in her hand
Still wondering
Which way to cross?

Just a child
Just like so many
she was left behind
Holding these two strands of her life

No one stops
A strand is lost
Only one remains
Eveyone laughs as if it were a game

Amusing because it isnt them
The one on the end
On the end of their last strand
Their last strand of life

As time goes by
She desperately holds on to life
Her last ballon
Still lost and confused
No one to help her find the route
