Suppressing the Need

"Even when you give all you can be,
the nicest that your heart can live out...
you still lose to the foolish hopes of lust and like,
still haunted by the one you love...."

I still contemplate if she will be there,
wondering if the ploys of hatred will end.
Still awestruck by the bond broken,
hoping that the bond's only bent.
Every line, an hour, that I sit awake
waiting for her call, waiting...
wanting to hear her voice.

Please, whisper those words,
those words that once flooded my dreams
filling them with pleasure and passion.
Words that once caressed my thoughts,
resting them to sleep.

Just rest your head in my dreams,
leave that once loved scent
that fragrance kept close to my heart
that remembrance of when you were there.

Those hours thrown between us
only feeds to the fire,
making my want, a need,
That need is only suppressed by your love
That Love that once kept us together
and what has now torn us apart...

"...and even when all those who love you reveal,
you are still concealed by that one you love.
Only now you know that she loves you
and that there is more than one beginning."
