Two Loves

My heart belongs to one
He broke it once before
Jagged splintered pieces
Sprawled across the floor
The other man I love
Brought glue to help it mend
Promised me forever
His love will never end
So why do I still care
For the man who broke my heart
When first he told me lies
Then tore my world apart
And why do I still cry
For this man every night
When the one who really cares
Is the one holding me tight
And how do I move on
For I can’t give my whole heart
To the one who loves me now
‘Cause the first still holds a part
