I just thought I'd tell you,
Without even anticipating the thought,
That I wasn't ever selfish.
Your love was all I sought.
It doesn't seem very obvious,
Though you tell me it's so true,
"I love you, little girl,
And I miss you too."
What is bound to happen,
When the holidays roll by?
Will we even celebrate,
When all she does is cry?
She claims her dreams have been trampled,
That her life is completely done,
She wishes she could die right then,
She wishes she had a gun.
But, father, you don't understand,
How she loves you so,
Are you really going to mend so fast?
Are you just her foe?
I don't mean to ask many questions,
It's just my mind is over-flowing.
Please don't answer them with rough words,
I simply need to be knowing.
I had an oddly dream last night,
And I couldn't tell you what.
All I know is that it was more a nightmare,
Dreamy, anything but.
Is it so wrong to want to talk?
Apparently so in your mind.
I just wish everything was like in the movies,
Starting with Once Upon A Time..

( He = My dad. She = My mom. )
