A Twist of Fate and I Call you Lovely

I had never met you before until that
Day in June in someone’s pool
I could hardly say hello but I
Stuttered just the same

I’ll talk to you just a couple days later,
In July I’ll complement you to no end
And feel embarrassed when you say thank you
Then I will ask you out

A twist of fate is what I call it
Just for my life to be complete
When you step in and that’s why I
Call you lovely, lovelier than the world

This story is open-ended just because
The story is not over it my be good it
May be bad but I want to see where this goes
Just to call you lovely one more time
