Spill My Heart Out

It’s hard to spill your heart out
When the glass has already tipped
Once walls fall, they will crumble
As words run through my lips

The pillars that hold me up
Will crack under pressure
The feelings once held back
Will burst beyond measure

If I give you the key to my heart
Will you lock it up or set it free?
Will you give it wings or let it fall?
I guess we’ll have to see

I could wrap myself around you
Engulf you with all my love
But I’d probably drown you
When push comes to shove

Is it difficult to breath
When you think about me?
And is it difficult to walk
When I am all you see?

Maybe if I had a map
I wouldn’t be so lost in you
Maybe if I had a mask
I wouldn’t feel so nude around you

Because you can look into my eyes
And I feel like you can see past my exterior
When you hold me to you tight
You make me feel like I’m superior

So if I spill my heart out
Will you drink my liquid love?
Or will you kick me to the curve
When push comes to shove?
