We walk out those doors
filled with laughter and smiles,
as all surrounding, fades,
leaving not but your beauty.
Gently just caressing
your cheek with my fingertips,
I inch slowly towards you,
holding my heart in my hands.

My breath stops,
my hand trembles, and I fail.
reality is now returned.
I just smile,
and you return the favor.
now with such a petty excuse
we panic in exhilaration
and with one quick motion...
my lips grace yours.

I step back,
you step forward,
embracing me again,
and we walk, hand in hand
back through those doors again.
