Light is Burning

Stare at the sun,
Burn your retina's till they bleed.
I'll just stand here laughing,
Then double over on my knees.

I deem that it's your turn.
I've already had my hurt.
It was all done purposefully,
Please don't act like you're concerned.

My blood is your blood,
It runs through both our veins.
Stand and burn beneath the sun,
and I'll spit on your remains.

You give no care to what I want,
It's always things that I don't need.
Do you assume that you can win me?
With all your egocentricity and greed?

Although our blood is thick,
and though it is the same.
Albeit our eyes are green,
and we carry the same name.

I am not the same person,
I have not the same heart.
I don't bear the same habits,
But the process soon will start.

I will fight this damn disease,
I won't morph into the beasts,
The ones that stand before me,
The two I do not need.

You've secluded me from the things,
That will help me to survive.
So that I will stay with you,
Simply to keep myself alive.

I tell you now,
I need you not.
I have my own disguise...
I don't need to know the things
That you would of taught,
If you had parental eyes.

Stand underneath the moon,
and look into my grave.
Here I sit, I'm staring back...
The one life to which you gave.
The life you didn't want,
The life you handed off.
The life you took from selfish hands,
And brought up to be like you.
The life you shoot with glares,
The life you push into.
There is no life left here for you.
You two have done me in.
All I wanted was some small things,
Nothing major, maybe a friend?

I have nothing but loathing.
And it's no ones fault but yours.
