In the distance
I can see a shadow drawing closer
It walks as I tremble
Covering up all reason
I think it represents my hope


Forever, the last words we spoke to each other
Never, the reasons for everything falling apart
Optimism is taking its toll
And I must be out of spare change

There's a box in my room
Filled with hollow words
"Let's be together forever"
I call it my clique
It burnt down yesterday
Along with the last thread of my hope

Sometimes I feel that
Things won't ever change
I'm stuck in this body
With just this half smile
And the space that occupies me

Nowhere is there home
Nor any land to roam
And I am all alone

Does forever imply a lie?
The emotion piles up but the reality dies
