Have you ever woken up one morning,
Glanced up at your clock in dismay
Seen the rays of light through your window,
And not wanted this bright new day

Did you want to fold up so small
And fall back to the graces of sleep
Allow the waves of lethargy to reign
While more time you are given to keep

Maybe you wished for it to end
For everything to halt
Let all of your problems to disappear
And leave you without fault

I know just what you felt then
I've done that myself, just curled up so small
In fact, to a size where i almost believed
I could get out of here, simply leave it all

It would be nice to escape from here,
Leave this whole world in the dust
Get away from the pain of life,
Escape being the one i trust
