Could you pull out your diary after school
To spill out your guts
About how you still miss me so?
Write how much it hurt you,
To see his hand in mine.
I promise..
It could never kill you, like it did me.

Please tell me that you're feeling jealous..
I could jot that down in my diary,
Scribbling how that show-off kiss was really just an act.
I knew you were walking by..
A second glance next time?

But don't worry about me!
I'll just be over here..
Holding hands with my love..
The boy who's name I can't remember,
From the boy who's name I could never forget.
The name written all over those diary pages..
'He still hasn't noticed..'

Pry my diary open,
Be careful not to break off any of the corners.

And I'll ease yours to open pages..
To take a gander,
Yeah, my hope to broken.

The triumphs of a quarterback,
Your reward: her number,
And a few bare pages..
Not an ink mark to smudge..
Darling, where's my name?
