Tea Time

To sit an savor a cup
of tea gives me such
pleasure, It soothes
the miles upon my feet,
reminding me of when I
was a child sitting in
the kitchen with Mother,
what wonderful memories
I have to treasure.

To sit and savor a cup
of tea, and listening to
the birds while watching
squirrels in the yard
picking up nuts and running
up the trees and sitting
there watching me.

To sit and savor a cup
of tea, reminds me of the
morning dew so softly
dripping off the window
pain, the sun coming up,
nature coming to life oh
what a beautiful view.

To sit and savor a cup
of tea is what I do most
best, remembering friends,
taking long walks on the
beach, and sitting in the
sun until we've lost all
track of time.

To sit and savor a cup
of tea relaxes my very
soul, I close my eyes
and take a sip and enjoy
it to it's fullest, when
I awaken from this
beautiful place that I
had been I realize it's
time for my wondering mind
to go, leaving behind the
memories and moving forward
to the new.
