A Bidder's Lie

Sold!
To the boy with the bright blonde hair,
And those gorgeous blue-green eyes!
Purchase my heart;
It costs for you to hold my hand.

Would you like it draped in bubble-wrap?
Or placed in a box,
Double taped?

Or would you like something different?
A vulnerable heart,
Wrapped in nothing?
Well, if that's what you want.

Would you like someone to help you with it?
To bring it to your car?
Or would your hands do the trick,
As long as you didn't squeeze too tight?

But before you drive off with my heart,
And leave me here to wonder why..
What are your intentions?

No bubble-wrap for easy access..
No box so you choke out the living beat..
No help,
Because you want it to yourself?

What a selfish bidder you are..
But you're right, you did your part:
You made me smile,
And twirl my hair.

But you have a different part now,
Yeah, you have a much more crude motive.

Make me chase you down,
Because you still haven't paid me back yet.
Didn't I make you feel the least bit worthy?
Didn't I talk fast enough?

But it's okay..
You'll be back at my Auction in a few days,
To steal something else,
To make me broke, again.
