It has become part of her life,
All the troubles and the strife,
Since before she can remember,
This is what life has sent her.
She'd always feel weird,
And she always feared,
That this mask would be forever,
But to come out, never.
Hidden behind the mask of her imagination,
Because of the works of creation,
Because of the closed minded,
She was forced to always hide it.
But one day it slipped through the crack,
And it was going to become fact,
That who she was pretending to be,
Wasn't allowing her soul to be free.
She was trying to accept her fate,
The cruel and racist hate,
That was destined to be,
When they found the true Katie.
