One is a lonely number,
When you realize you're all alone,
And you wonder why no one's around,
It's because they let you go,
And yes I've seen you fall,
I watched your heart sail away,
And the feelings left broken on the floor,
And the sun that will always shine your name,
And the bleeding dye hanging from the door,
And the piano standing by the fireplace,
As I wonder if you care anymore,
And your words still echo in my head,
I'm like a book that's dying to be read,
My pages patiently wait as they sit in dust,
As the nails holding up my life,
Slowly begin to rust,
There's nothing sacred here,
My wings are being tied down by fear,
And you can't break through this cloudy surface,
Expecting to find someone who could be me,
For I am only a mirage,
One that hasn't changed and is still here,
Lost in misery.
