Ignorance Isn't Always Bliss

Well you've succeeded in tainting another soul
You've managed to tear a gaping hole
Was that always your goal?
Do you not have any self control?!

Do you see this bruise on my face?
You've caused pain I can't erase
I guess, "I love you," wasn't the case
Now I'm stuck in this dreadful place

My will, and heart are forever battered
But then again, I guess that never mattered
You couldn't care less that I've been shattered
Or how many emotions are lost and scattered

Ignorance Isn't always bliss,
A memo I tried to miss
I thought I could believe your kiss
Not that I'd have to be afraid of your fist

I'm sick of what I've had to conceal
I'm done refusing to feel
I'm going to let my heart reel
Because it's the only way to heal
