Flower Garden

Take a walk on a flower
Take a swim in the morning dew
Let the colours be your santuary
In the world you once knew

Dance as the sun dances with you
In brisk breeze of autumn
Let the crisp air be your senses
Let your past be forgotten

The petals can be the beat
The stem your soulful lyrics
The pollen can be your rhythm
Let the song fill your spirit

Whistle like a thousand flutes
Tip toe like a golden harp
Playing with each single note
Until you hit F sharp

And suddenly the piano
Plays notes, so unheard
The colours seem so dark
The music so absurd

The sun goes down
And the days get shorter
The grass goes white
The wind gets colder

The petals go black
As the leaves all wither
The signs clearly show
The on coming winter

Put to rest in a seed so small
Left to hang and then to fall
One day another life will begin
In this simple flower garden
