its like I’m spending all this time growing into what ill become
but if were becoming ourselves as we grow, then what am i when im young?
one minute I’m me
the next I’m embarrassed of what i was last week
but that must be growing up
knowing how foolish I used to be
but if I feel changed
oh so changed
over the course of two days
is that adolescence, or am i insane?
but that must be growing up
its not about maturity
or responsibility
its knowing how stupid I was
some short time ago
and knowing I've changed
or maybe that’s just regret
but that must be growing up
