I thought once upon a time
My world would never change
But I’m not so naïve anymore
I found things rather strange

But it’s all different now
More than I could dream
Strangely, though, it’s for the better
Or so the story seems

I’ve flown away from my old life
I’ve come to start anew
Nothing really changed that much
Until life showed me you

It’s like a mirror image
That when I look inside
I see the me I didn’t know
That went to you to hide

And like a mirror I can see
Another half quite clear
It’s just the same, only turned around
And closer now I’m here
