You haunt me,
every night and every day
your name is such a vial word
that causes me such disarray.

I haven't spoken to you
in such a long time
and yet that one word
reminds me of what it was like.

My dreams about you
cause me such pain
doesn't matter if you leave forever today
the dent you put in me
cannot be tame.

Haunted,
by the one I'm supposed to love
treated like some poisonous bug.

I cannot be saved by this horror,
I cannot forget such shame,
I will not love you again,
But I will try to live in peace,
guarded by my pain.
