Silent Sound

Bit by bit, piece by piece,
My words become too hard to speak.
Silent whispers turn to screams
And all the nightmares turn to dreams.
Up so high just gazing down,
A new life seems yet to be found.
The hazy sky resembles a mirror.
While looking up, everything becomes clearer.
I’m at the edge looking at my reflection.
I begin to think of my imperfections.
I clench my fists, take one step ahead,
This I know I will not regret.
As I’m falling, my life flashes by.
“Today,” I thought, “is the day that I die.”
Warm red wet beauty covers the ground.
Not one word was spoken, just peer silent sound.
