can you hear my heartbreak
can you feel my tears
when it rains
these cuts bleed
they leave
stains

running so much further
than my body would ever allow
each breath more forced
than the last
each one more shallow
i cant
breathe
run faster

run from the pain
run from the hurt
i cant run far enough
i can distance myself enough
i can still hear the echoes
i can still feel
these scars
