A Stirring

There's a stirring in my heart
Mixed pain and emotion
A piece of shattered glass
Once a beautiful portrait
Now embedded in my heart
Bleeding me away from the inside
The portrait, was a once happy dream
Turned to ashes by time and wisdom
Now knowing the cruelty
The harsh realities of the world
Expected to be a man
Society is no place for me
I belong in the holes
Living in the underground
With the oppressed
I will be the voice
For those who cannot speak
And I will be the eyes
For those who do not see
What I have seen
Ladies and Gentleman
Is the end of the world
Are you ready
