Crystal Clear Reflection

Crystal clear reflection in the mirror
A different person, you’ve never seen her
Smash it, crack it, watch it shatter
Your knuckles bleed, it doesn’t matter
Visions so unwanted
Dreams always haunted
I just can’t escape
This thing I’m caught in
Session after session
To solve my depression
And it doesn’t help
Just builds the tension
Crown my lips with a graceful frown
I know that I have let you down
Not a perfect daughter, nor a perfect friend
Not a perfect beginning, nor a perfect end
And definitely not a perfect story
But I can’t say that I am sorry
Because it’s not all sunshine and rainbows
Why it isn’t, Only god knows
Every dent is there to make an original
Not perfect pixels, I ain’t digital
White lies and dirty secrets
Crossed fingers, didn’t do it
Fragile elements reserve my finger prints
See through my eyes, glasses tint
Expressions, just masks for emotional times
Gestures, so often misread for signs
Won’t change for the wind, won’t change for the world
Just me as myself, Just a simple girl
No purpose for the mean while
No reason for me to smile
Crystal clear reflection in the mirror
Look closer, you can see her…
