There once was a little girl,
So innocent and nice,
Naive to the world around,
And the pain it contained.
He swore he would protect her,
And never let her down.
But she did not realize,
That it was all a lie.

One day he walked out the door,
And never came back.
She became consumed with thoughts of him,
And what she must have done wrong.
The pain flooded in as tears in her eyes,
And in those tears, she drowned.
The last image in her mind,
A picture of the dad who left her behind.
