Not quite an absence

No, Not an absence
An absence, a thought,
A breath away and at the same time, untrue.

Absent in form, but not in spirit,
Never in spirit, surely not yours...
Wild and exciting, delightful and pure
So unsure...

All of your uncertainties can be dissolved.
You can make it all vanish in self-assurance, wit,
And the love of the select few whose company you have chosen.

In your insecurity and denial you atone for all time.
The tides rise. The sky cracks dawn...
The sun hides the moon for another afternoon, and yet,
With one last breath you can make it all go away...

Now with eyes of love and memories
Wizened and ancient as oak,
You stand...tragic as the torrential winds,
Fierce as your ever present flame,
Passionate as the tides hugging the endless shores...
You stand before the world, glorious, an unforgettable woman.
Sometimes those who bloom in adverse times
Are the rarest and most beautiful of all.
