I went for a drive today,
But nothing was the same,
Because you're not here,
It's been raining here for days,
And the thunder sounded different,
Because you're not here,
I went outside today,
The air didn't feel right to breathe,
Because you're not here,
I heard music today,
The guitar wasn't in tune and vocals weren't in harmony,
The birds didn't sing this morning,
And all that remained was a cloud filled sky that made everything become
gray,
Time went by slower than it used to,
I woke up feeling emptiness today,
Because you're not here.
