Your heart raced and blood pounded in your ears
Do you remember last time, the time you faced your fears?

The world spun around you and your hands began to sweat
Tears filled your eyes and already you felt regret

You didn't know what the outcome would be
Your vision was blurred and you wished you could see

Faces were but smears and your cheeks were wet with tears
Words, "Please don't leave me," were whispered in your ears

You wanted another chance to do more in your life
But it was over in a flash, like being cut with a knife

Now you sigh and wonder as you sit in your bed
How do such nightmares hide in the back of your head?

Are you ready for the real thing? Are you willing to try?
Once years go by and you're old, will you be ready to die?

Maybe you'll become an angel and gain wings to fly
Don't fear death, use your wings and fly into the sky
