A thousand lives balancing on his one sharp blade
He’s trying to live with the mistakes that he made
But he can’t
A shield used properly can look heroic
A move can look swift if you know it
And he did
He can throw a spear and he will never miss
Only affectionate time is when he gives the devil’s kiss
No room for mercy
Everything is done to achieve honor
Until he finds out what lies behind the armor
Immortality
Win every battle just to gain fame
For hundreds of years, they’ll say his name
But is it worth it?
Tell all the other soldiers that he’ll die for a cause
But with his last few seconds he wonders what that was
A life wasted
Slice one more throat and watch the man die
He was the one who closed those poor eyes
When will he open his?
Every inch of flesh that grazes his sword
Is another regret that he can not afford
A countless list
Soldier, you will go in the books we read
They will tell of how you fall and how you lead
Soldier, they will write of your great victory
Soldier, you will go down in history
