Suicide, a slight understanding.

Suicide, a slight understanding.

An act of darkness upon oneself;
in hopes of freeing one’s mind.
How sweet the numbness feels,
dream a life of a different kind.

The thoughts of many restful days;
you settle into a slumbers hold.
It matters not, the protection from,
the dampness and the cold.

Emotions overwhelming the soul;
frightened, yet not giving way
to the desire for peace of mind.
The sky turns from blue to gray.

An act of darkness upon oneself.
For once the eyes grow blind to verve,
and the body is no longer a creature,
you no longer have life to observe.
