Halls Of Darkness

Through the halls of darkness I hear a voice. A still. Silent voice. It
calls to me like blood for a vampire. As I inch my way towards it, it gets
stranger yet more familiar. It’s the voice of a small female child. She is
dressed in black. I can barely see her. Her hair was black as the night sky.
She looks all too familiar. I wonder who she is. I swear I’ve never seen her
before in my life. I call out to her. She steps back, as I get closer. She
says, “Stop!” I stop. The air is surprisingly still. A slight breeze blows.
I step towards her slightly. She starts to fade as if she wasn’t there to
begin with. I still here her voice, yet in another direction. This time I
run towards it. It’s the same voice, but older sounding. Her appearance
hadn't changed but her face grew older. I ask her “Who are you?” She
replies, “The answer you seek lies inside within you.” I ask her “What are
you talking about?” “Look inside yourself and find out.” she says. I begin
to think. I can think of no other than the one I truly love… Shadowstrom!
But she didn’t look the same. Until I remembered what she said, “When ever
you see a familiar face within the shadow world look at the eyes.” At that
moment I took a glance into her eyes. And I saw her soul. She was the
balance of existence itself. It was her, Shadowstrom! “Shadowstrom!’ I
called out. She nodded her head. “Yes, it is I.” “Why am I here.” I asked.
“This is the shadow world.” She says. “A place of peace, a place of
tranquility, my home.” She fades into thin air. I am left alone.
