The Last time….

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
I feel like an innocent three year old again,
With no fears, except that mum might make me eat Brussels sprouts.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
It’s like I’m that talkative four year old.
That wouldn't’t stop talking till mum said it was bed time.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
I feel like that five year old looking up at the sky,
In amazement as a rainbow fills the sky with pretty colours.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
It’s like I’m that big grown up six year old,
All ready for her first day of school.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
I feel like that seven year old,
Who’d just learnt how to plus and felt so proud.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
It’s like I’m an eight year old ridding my bike,
For the first time without training wheels.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
I feel like I’m nine year old, when I received my clarinet,
Her name is Samantha oh how I love her.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
It’s like I’m back in my ten year old body,
So excited to be heading on my first camp.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
I feel like I’m eleven again,
And I’ve just Had my first sleepover.

I can’t remember the last time I felt like this,
It’s like I’m a young girl,
Experiencing love and happiness for the first time.

Oh how good it feels,
It’s such a warm feeling,
A gentle feeling,
A breathtaking feeling!
