You ask me to tremble, yet I stand still
Intimidation gone, goals unfulfilled
Wonder why I smile at death
When you know it smiled at me first
Why I say that it’s a good day
When it’s turned out to be one of the worst
Skip in the rain because you know it won’t last
Soon the thunderclouds will have to pass
A blade to my neck brings a grin to my face
My calm breath stays at it’s usual smooth pace
Trapped under water I let my breath loose
Let my lungs fill, there’s nothing to lose
I’m not afraid of the end
Because it’s just the beginning
My life’s old weaved thread
Will always be spinning
Open heavens doors, I’m on the welcome mat
Give me wings to match my bright golden hat
If you live one day as a guardian in someone’s life
You can die as an angel, at least in their eyes
And when you see my face, my pale glow
You’ll know they gave me my halo
