When you think you've found him,
Remember what I say.
Love is a silly game played by two
Where you give your heart away.

A girl once played this game called love.
Twas a foolish thing, I know.
So, here is her story written for you
With my poetic flow.

She met a boy at such a young age
Who was older than her by three years.
She dreamt of him for the longest time
And shed so many hopeless tears.

She wanted to tell him she loved him.
She really wanted him to know.
She wanted to be embraced in his arms
And never have to let go.

But, when she finally got the courage
To tell him how she felt,
It seemed she would never see him again.
Her heart began to melt.

Days kept growing longer.
She went weeks without sleep.
There were too many secrets
That she just couldn't keep.

But, time went on as always,
For she had given up long ago.
Until that one, destined night
When her hope began to grow.

They looked into each others eyes
Both knowing it was to be.
He wanted to know her better
And inside this made her scream.

The following night, she waited
For the phone to ring.
She waited, and she waited.
She had to tell him everything.

When they finally talked,
She couldn't hold it in.
The thought was driving her crazy
But things were better in the end.

It turned out they weren't so different.
He had feelings for her, too.
Overjoyed by what he told her,
She shot out, "I love you."

Time flew by.
They grew closer, too.
But, on a miserable night
Things came un-glued.

She suspected something different.
She suspected something was wrong.
But, she didn't want this to end.
They'd been together far too long.

She jumped to conclusions.
He fought back with the truth.
And his final words were
"I never stopped loving you!"

"You were the only one,"
He said
"And you'll always be,
I could never love anyone else.
You're the one for me!"

She thought about his words
And realized he was right.
But there remained an awful feeling
That kept her stomach tight.

She went to bed that night
And caught a little dream.
Twas nothing at all like flying,
But violent, it made made her scream.

The next day in the paper
The leading headline read:
"Homicidal Maniac
Leaves teenage boy found dead"

Devastated by the news,
She took her very life.
It was just the thought of losing him
That made her pick up the knife.

And so, you see, this game called love
Can lead to sudden death.
So remember to tell him "I love you,"
With your last gasping breath...
