I can hear the wind whispering my name
Like a ghost come to haunt me
Take me back from where I came
A whole other world
So angry and hateful
Somewhere no one wants to be
But it drags me down
To the gates of hell
I can feel the heat
As I cough from the ashes that rain down on me
This is the one place
That will forever break me down
Bring me to tears
So salty on my lips
As they stream down
But no one seems to notice
Or is it that they just don't know
They don't know that I know
The secrets that they hold within
So horrid it makes me sick
I don't know how I can deal with this
The secrets that are theirs
Are most certainly known
The wind whispers them from ear to ear
A cry out to all the good
There's something lurking in her shadow
Be afraid to venture in
I was warned
And now here I am
Back where I started
Afraid to have a friend
